A beautiful, organic centerpiece. I’ve been drawn to the texture and color of simple brown paper bags lately. There’s something so grounding about them. Bringing nature indoors is one of my favorite design elements. You can hang anything from the branches, but for the winter months I love the beauty of handmade paper snowflakes.

Supplies you’ll need:

Brown paper bag

Sticks gathered outside

A glass cylinder

Small rocks or sand (to hold the twigs in place)

Paper snowflakes

White string

Fold the edge of the paper bag down to create a cuff around the top. Place the cylinder inside. Arrange the twigs to your liking, hold them in place while you pour the rocks or sand around them. Tie paper snowflakes to the branches with white thread or string.
